Digital Ignition ZDG3.1 - Moto Guzzi (Lodola)
The digital ignition system ZDG3.1 replaces existing breaker points and advancer by purely electronic components. The contact plate with advancer are replaced by a Hall sensor with drive shaft and a magnetic pulse disc. The magnetic disc is locked by two Allen screws on the drive shaft and can be adjusted easily. The measurement is done by magnetic field-sensitive components (Hall-effect sensors) which are characterized by a high temperature tolerance.To protect the coils after engine stop, the ignition current is switched off after approx. 5 seconds.
