At the Guzzi V35 ... V65 with Bosch alternator there's no difference to the larger models, also the Pickup on the alternator is mounted. The later models with Saprisa - or Ducati alternator but no longer offer this possibility because the alternator cover would have to be used at a considerable distance and may collide with the front fender. Fortunately, the motor housing hasn't changed and offers therefore the possibility to set the pickup to replace the old contacts. Only the diameter of the cam shaft stump has changed frequently over the years, must thus be considered when ordering. This option is intended for cam shafts with 14 mm diameter. The digital ignition ZDG3 consists of the following components: pickup circuit board, the corresponding mechanical components and the ignition box. It replaces the Motoplat ignition boxes or mechanical contacts. The measurement is done by Hall sensors, which are characterized by a high temperature tolerance. An adjustable Rev limiter cuts off the ignition at 7600 or 8500 RPM.
